In April 1997, the Golden Wings Foundation (GWF)
was formed with the intent of providing educational experiences
for all of the Keystone Oaks District’s students. Children are keystones
of our community and our future.
The value of a student’s educational experience is dependent upon grassroots support from residents.
Often times, worthwhile, enriching programs and opportunities are beyond the scope of traditional funding
resources. The Keystone Oaks School District (KOSD) has a rich history of local community support.
To continue this tradition and to demonstrate community commitment towards providing the best educational
experience for each and every student, the residents from Castle Shannon, Dormont, and Green Tree boroughs
joined together to establish the GWF.
