Green Tree Nature Center
Tree Identification Walk led by Allegheny County Rangers
Saturday, September 14 - 10:00 a.m.
Meet at the Nature Center entrance on Crestmont

The Green Tree Nature Center is said to hold all species of trees native to Pennsylvania. Besides providing habitats for animals, large forest areas also offer watershed protection, prevent soil erosion, and absorb and reduce the presence of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

Led by Allegheny County Rangers, this walk gives you a great chance to marvel at the grandeur of the environment, and surround yourself with the natural wonder of what gives our community its namesake.

The tour is FREE, but we request that those interested in joining us register using the electronic form below (or at the Green Tree Administrative Office) so we can anticipate how many people to expect.

Wear comfortable clothes and sturdy walking shoes for this hike through the Green Tree Nature Center.
